	ARCHELON joins TESOL Greece’s Community Outreach Programme 05/03/2012 We are pleased to announce that ARCHELON has become a participant in the TESOL Greece Community Outreach Programme. This collaboration will give ARCHELON the opportunity to introduce itself and its environmental education programmes to both local and international educators. TESOL Greece (which is an acronym of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages), is a local affiliate of the international, not-for-profit professional association headquartered in the U.S. The aim of TESOL Greece’s Community Outreach Programme is to help raise awareness among English Language teachers and students about current issues so that they can make wise, informed choices.

	2012 Volunteers opportunities 29/02/2012 In the middle of the economic crisis ARCHELON continues the work for the protection of sea turtles. The field projects will open again in May 2012 and last until October. The submission of applications has already been started and to our great surprise there are many people interested in participating in our projects
	Support of ARCHELON sea travel expenses from MINOAN LINES for the program in Southern Crete 29/02/2012 The Ferry Company of Crete «MINOAN LINES» continues to support us with different but equally important ways. As part of its sponsorship program, it has offered discount tickets to our Society, facilitating the annual transportation of ARCHELON executives to and from the program in Southern Crete.
	Sea turtles always find their way 24/02/2012 It is well known that sea turtles are migratory. They feed and reproduce in different areas. Although these areas may be hundreds of kilometers apart, turtles manage to find them with remarkable ease. This is one of nature’s marvels. How do turtles manage to navigate at sea?
	ANEK LINES support our movement to Western Crete 23/02/2012 Anek LINES, under the name "Anonymous Crete Shipping Company SA" which is based in Chania, has offered a discount of tickets for its ships, while also including ARCHELON in the company’s annual office calendar for 2012, providing information as well as photographs of the volunteer Papafitsorou Costas, in the month July.

	Cold outside, but warmth in our hearts 14/02/2012 The frozen weather of Monday, January 30th 2012 was not an obstacle in creating a very warm atmosphere in the loft of the bookstore Pataki. We refer to the event of the ARCHELON New Year Pie Cutting, for the year 2012, which was attended by numerous dear members, volunteers, supporters and many friends of the Association.

	Tourism and sea turtle: Allies or competitors? 02/02/2012 It’s a fact that numerous peaceful and sandy beaches, which the sea turtles choose to nest for centuries now, are at the moment amongst the most popular touristic destinations. Inevitably, the relationship between tourism and sea turtles can at first level, be considered as competitive. However, tourism and sea turtles can become allies and coexist in harmony provided that some financial solutions shall be followed, based on the preparation of simple rules concerning the activities across the seaside.

The Sunday 29 January edition of the newspaper Ethnos Kyriakis had a two-page spread on ARCHELON and the Rescue Centre, including an interview with Centre Coordinator Pavlos Tsaros, and photos of the facilities, the volunteers and of course some of the turtles being cared for.
