The General Secretariat for Youth supports "ARCHELON"
The General Secretariat
for Youth With continues its creative cooperation with
ARCHELON supporting the environmental awareness programme
entitled "We can live
together".
Young people education on
the principles of environmental protection constitutes
one of the most important priorities of the General Secretariat
for Youth. In our days, a different voice is not enough;
systematic effort, sufficient programming, and mostly,
action are required.
Confirming the
target set, the General Secretariat for Youth supports
the informational visits of children and young people at
ARCELON's Sea Turtle Rescue Center, where numerous attractive
activities and a variety of means of educational character
are offered, for them to gain an integrated and rounded
development of their environmental consciousness.
The "We can live together" project is
an intervention in the sector of youth environmental actions,
properly focused and appropriately delivered to children
and young people, with a clear structure and a key message:
motivate with integrity, sensitivity
and imagination.
The funding of the programme
corresponds directly to the necessary infrastructure and
activities needs required for the reception of the visitors
at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center.
By supporting such innovative approaches
and programmes the General Secretariat for Youth and ARCHELON
do more than confirming a high sense of responsibility
towards young people; they join forces in pursuance of
the value and the belief that young people of our country
deserve every competent opportunity to increase their awareness,
gain knowledge, learn new skills and be active citizens
at all levels of life.
